Welcome to Year 4!

Below is some information that you may find useful. We will do our very best to update it as regularly as possible and here you will find useful websites links, top tips and most importantly, dates for your diary! Please also look at our photo gallery to see what we have been up to.

Useful Information

PE Day- Friday PM. Please ensure that your child has the correct P.E. kit in school including shoes and a jacket.

Reading Diaries- Reading diaries should be in school every day. Please ensure that you or your child sign the reading diary every time that it is read. This should be a minimum of three times per week.

Book Changing- There are two reading schemes in school. Read, Write Inc ‘Book Bag Books’ will be changed on a Friday. Big Cat books will be changed once the child has finished it.

Homework in Year 4

Reading- At least three times a week. Signed by an adult or child.

Times Tables Rockstars- 20 minutes over the course of the week in the garage section. Bespoke calculations will be set for each child.

Spellings- Children will be given eight spellings on a Friday and tested the following Friday.

Times tables- These will be sent home on a Friday and will be due in on the following Friday. This will support us in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication check.
