Your English booklet, attached above, is for the week. This week, there are 3 days in line with Year One starting back to school on Wednesday. Each day is clearly marked to help you know which lesson needs completing. 

 

In school, alongside our English lessons, we will learn new phonic sounds. These sounds are in the folder above marked 'Phonics'.

 

This week, we are reading a book called ‘Silly Billy’ by Anthony Browne

 

English Lessons:

 

Lesson 1

Read and learn some new vocabulary that you will find in the book.

 

Lesson 2

Read the first part of the book building up to reading with fluency and expression.

 

Lesson 3

Write sentences about how the character is feeling.

 

Lesson 4 (SPAG)

Write setailed sentences about the picture.

 

Lesson 5 (Handwriting)

Write the ‘sh’ and ‘ch’ digraphs accurately. Then, write them in the tricky words, ‘push’ and ‘school’.
