Year 4
Welcome to the Year 4 Class Page!
Welcome back to term 5!
We hope that you had a fabulous Easter holiday and are coming back to year 4 all refreshed ready for an exciting term!
This term, we have lots of fantastic learning to look forward to. Some of the things we are going to be learning about this term are the Mayans in History, discovering lots of information about the Amazon Basin and South America in Geography. We are going to be designing and making our own musical instruments using Makey Makey kits in D.T. (which we are very excited about) and learning all about Collage in art.
Please read our curriculum newsletter to find out more about our learning this term!

Useful Information
Here you will find some useful information as well as important dates.
School Day - The gate opens at 8.30-8.45 am, and home time is 3.10.
PE Day Thursday - the children’s PE and swimming kits will need to be in school every Thursday. They will come home in their PE kits to minimise the time needed for changing. As you can imagine, clothes are flung everywhere when changing, so please label all items where possible.
Homework - will be 15 mins weekly on TTRS, as well as one activity that will be set on SEESAW. This will be set on a Friday and due in/checked on a Thursday. Children are expected to read at least 3 times a week at home as well.
Science - will be taught on a Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Eastwood teaches 4a, and Mrs Main teaches 4b.
Reading Diary - Please make sure that your child’s reading diary is in school every day as it contains useful passwords and usernames.
Water Bottles - Please ensure water bottles are in school, even if the weather is mild.
