Useful Information

Homework

 This year all our homework tasks will be set via Seesaw.  Homework will consist of Maths and English tasks relating to learning in class as well as the Year 6 objectives. This year we expect all children to complete 20 minutes of Times Tables Rockstars during the week.  For this it is better for the children to complete 2/3minutes daily rather than all 20 minutes in one go. 

Homework will go out every Friday and should be returned back the following Thursday. If children are struggling to complete tasks, we are more than happy to help them.

In addition to formal homework, we ask that you continue to listen to your child read on a regular basis (at least three times a week) and that you discuss what they have read with them. This will help enormously when they come to quizzing at school. Please continue to sign their home school diary for each day they have read. 

PE

This term PE will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays.

During Term 1, 6A will be swimming on Fridays.

Please could you ensure that your child has the correct kit for both indoor and outdoor PE sessions. It is also important to have a pair of shoes for PE.  Trainers rather than plimsolls are advisable for outdoor PE as we will be on the school courts and the field.
