Hello all! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather!

During this time, we hope you will take the opportunity to rest, relax and take a break from learning. If you would like some ideas of how to fill your time, however, we have some suggestions for you. These can be found in the folder below (with the star icon). The tasks include learning to tie shoelaces, gardening and baking ideas.

Enjoy your time together and stay safe!

Happy Easter Holidays! Hope you have had another lovely, productive week. Over the Easter break, the Year One team have a challenge for you to complete: An egg decorating competition! Your task is to design and decorate an egg, then send a picture of them looking EGGcellent! They can be decorated however you wish. You could base it on a book you have read, a theme, a character or even yourself! It is completely up to you. If you wish, there is a template attached below (it is also on your child's Dojo page).

We are so EGGcited to see your creations on Dojo. Please keep sending us pictures and/or messages to stay in touch, we love to see and hear what you have all been up to.

Enjoy your well deserved break (mummies and daddies too!), take care and stay safe.

Hello everyone! Hope you have all had a lovely, productive week. In preparation for next week, we have planned some tasks for you to do. These are based on 'Easter' and 'Capacity' in Maths. All of the resources are in the folders (with the star icon) below if you wish to use them. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us via 'Class Dojo'. We would love to see some photographs of what you are up to or, just send us a message- we are missing you terribly!

Stay safe and enjoy your time at home.

Good evening! Good news, I have found a link so that you can read 'Big Cat' reading books at home. You should all know the colour band that you are on so ask an adult to help with the username and password and you will be away!

Parents,

Go to https://connect.collins.co.uk/school/Portal.aspx

Click on the Teacher portal and enter

Username:  parents@harpercollins.co.uk

Password:  Parents20!

And click  Login

Children, please keep enjoying your reading. We had planned to read Roald Dahl's 'The Magic Finger' next so if you can, give it a read and let us know what you think. I know that you do not have your reading diaries to record in but perhaps you could keep your own reading log?

In addition to the reading books, below is a link for free live Phonic lessons that will be streamed daily. This is the same program that we use in school so they couldn't be more perfect. Please aim for the set 2 or 3 sessions.

Hello to all of our children in Year One!

As promised, we have attached some work for you to do whilst our school is closed. You can present the work in any way you choose (as long as it is neat) but we have attached some documents that can be printed if you would prefer.

We have also attached our school timetable too with suggestions of how you could fill your time.

Next week, we will update the website with some more English and Maths tasks.

Take care!

From

Mrs West, Mrs Hewitt and Miss Hann
