Welcome to Year Four!

Welcome to our class page. Here you will find some information that you may find useful.

We will do our very best to update this page on a regular basis and here you will find useful website links, top tips and most importantly, dates for your diary! There is also a photo gallery so that you can see what we have been up to.

 

The Year Four Team

 

Year 4a – Mrs Sibley (Monday and Tuesday), Mrs Smith (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Useful Information

 

  • PE Day – Thursday. Children will go home from school in their PE kit.
  • Reading Diaries - Reading diaries should be in school every day. Please ensure that you sign the reading record every time your child reads. The expectation to read at home is a minimum of 3 times each week.
  • TTRS – Times Table Rockstars should be played for minimum of 3 times (15 minutes) each week in preparation for the Year 4 times table check which takes place in June 2024.

Homework in Year Four

 

On a weekly basis, we expect the children to complete the following activities:

  • Reading – at least 3 times each week for 15 minutes
  • Times Tables Rockstars – at least 3 times each week for 15 minutes over the course of a week. Bespoke calculations will be set for each child.
  • Knowledge Organiser – To learn the information given for the term and be able to answer questions from it.
  • There may be additional, voluntary activities set for over half term that we will inform you about on either Seesaw or Class Dojo.
