Useful Information

Homework

1. CGP Homework Books – The children will bring home a Maths/English workbook on alternating weeks. They will be given some pages to complete which should take the children approximately 20 minutes. The children will record in their Reading Diary which pages should be completed. They will need to bring this book back into school on a Thursday morning for us to mark and swap over the books ready for the following week.
2. Times Tables Rockstars – We will set the children a 20-minute session each week. We cannot stress enough the importance of knowing their tables to support them in their Maths lessons for Year 6. Little and often is the best way!
3. Regular Reading – We expect the children to read regularly and record this in their reading diary. This should be signed by an adult. They should be reading at least three times per week. We will collect the reading diaries in every Friday morning to be stamped and checked.

PE

During Term 1, 6A will be swimming.  This will commence on Friday 6^th September.  Please ensure that your child has the appropriate kit, including a swimming hat.  For more information on this, please check Parentmail. 6B will also participate in PE on Friday afternoons.  They will be taking part in tag rugby and fitness activities.  Please could you ensure that your child has the correct kit for outdoor PE sessions.
